I've been working with various technologies including Oracle products since 1998 as developer, systems analyst, and later as Senior Oracle DBA. I'm responsible for maintaining database systems mostly based on Real Application Clusters technology. My specialization is administration, design, consolidation, migrations and proper licensing of database platforms and other products mostly running on Unix and Linux operating systems and during last years exploring the world of unstructured data. Became first Oracle certified RAC Expert in Slovakia. I've been an Oracle ACE since 2006.

seb20 March, 2007Hi it is possible to send you an email. I am trying to install an 11.5.10.2 on Oracle entreprise. We check all prerequesite. everything is OK for RPM and OS environnement. Rapidwiz launched by root is freezing at 20%. We get an error message : There was an error while running the command - su oravis -c /media/usbdisk/d01/oracle/visdb/9.2.0/temp/VIS_opsoo/adrun9i.sh APPS APPS /media/usbdisk/d01/oracle/visdb/9.2.0/appsutil/install/adlnkoh.sh: line 198: /media/usbdisk/d01/oracle/visdb/9.2.0/bin/sqlplus: No such file or directory RW-50010: Error: - script has returned an error: 1 RW-50004: Error code received when running external process. seb23 March, 2007hi man I solved it it was because my OS was en 64bits one and the EBS 32 bits It was really easy with the Oracle enterprise linux on 32 bits !! Thnaks for your help !!! seb from Paris

James29 March, 2007Hi, I'm trying to install Oracle 9i Linux x86_64. Your guide has been very helpful. Thank you However, I'm now stuck. When I run the installer with the JRE from Oracle I Received an error like: GLIBC_2.0 not defined in libc.so.6 So I downloaded the Sun JRE (1.3.1_15). Now I get an error much sooner in the install process (selecting STANDARD DATABASE) The error states: NoSuchMethod I've updated my profile and oraparam.ini as instructed. Any ideas? Following your guide
